Z31 throttle valve switch
Oct 25, 2010 The Z31 utilizes a singleconnector TPS on manual cars, as throttle position SWITCH, and is only an idle switch. 8689 Automatic cars have a secondary connector that has a potentiometer to show true throttle position for the transmission control module, while 8485 are fully mechanical. The (TPS) Throttle Position Sensor or idle switch is attached to the throttle chamber and actuates in response to accelerator pedal movement. This switch has idle contact and full throttle contact. The idle contact is used for engine control. It closes when the throttle valve is positioned at idle, and opens when it is at any other position. z31 throttle valve switch
Throttle position sensor The throttle position sensor is on the side of the throttle body, it's a little black box with a 3 contact connector on it. One is ground(the middle one) and the outer two pins are full throttle and idle contacts. Only the idle contacts are used on sticks, automatics use idle and full throttle
Aug 17, 2015 Hey guysgals, Here's a quick TPS adjustment tip for those of you that have deleted all your idle controls. Hopefully this will help at least one other perso The throttle valve switch informs the engine control unit about the throttle valve position so that the mixture and ignition can be adjusted to suit the respective load. This page explains how the throttle valve switch works and how a fault impacts the running of the engine. You will also find practical tips on how to check the throttle valve z31 throttle valve switch Jan 29, 2008 Z31's do not have a TPS, they have a Throttle Valve Switch. The Throttle Valve Switch is attached to the throttle chamber and actuates in response to accelerator pedal movement. This switch has idle contact and full throttle contact. The idle contact is used for engine control.
There is an Idle Air Control Valve on the passenger side of the intake, a throttle switch on the drivers side of the throttle body, and idle solenoid, idle control on the drivers side of the z31 throttle valve switch Jul 09, 2008 Throttle sensor and Throttle Switch. I'm assuming the Black senor with the intergrated plug is the Throttle sensor and the other harness hanging from it is the Throttle Switch. Not 100 sure though. If someone could clear that up for me, I'd appreciate it. But I to only have 2 wires on the ThrottleRating: 4.67 / Views: 414
